— The Experience  —

At East Pines Ranch, you will experience the life of a working cowboy. This is a full-scale operating ranch with cattle to be moved, examined, studied, sorted, shipped and otherwise managed. During your stay with us, you will be invited to participate in all the activities of the ranch as a member of our team. You will build strong memories that last a lifetime as you actually fill the boots of the authentic cowboy. You will not be asked to do anything beyond your abilities, and we will train you with the skills that will allow you to participate in a meaningful way.

At our ranch, you are more than a "just a number", and we assure you of maximum one-on-one exposure to your hosts and the other working cowboys on the ranch. In this way your opportunity to learn is maximized.

Ranch activities vary with the seasons and so the time of year you select to visit should reflcet your interests. You may be able to share in the excitement of calving time (and maybe a chuckle or two), as you witness nature's plan in action. Newborn calves explore their new surroundings, running and bucking at play, very rapidly maturing and becoming part of the herd. Or plan your visit when we will be moving the herd.

Depending on ranch activities during the time of your visit, you will stay at our cow camps or in tents on the trail. Enjoy the season of the year you choose, living the free and glorious life of the cowboy.

There is nothing like that first cup of coffee on the trail around day break. The smell and taste is the way coffee was meant to be. We offer good solid stick-to-your-ribs grub that is not fancy but tastes delicious, especially at the end of and exciting and educational day. Enjoy the delicious beef produced from the ranch that tastes the way beef is supposed to taste!
